Hiked: 25-Sep-10

While not one of the 4000 footers, this hike offered some great views with not nearly the effort of some of the bigger mountains.

Once again, we were surprised (and pleased) by the free parking for the day – in celebration of Public Lands day – thank you, someone! The day was warm and humid, and because of the humidity, there was some valley fog. As the day progressed, the fog mostly burned off, though with a bit of a warm-weather mist/haze in the air – hampering some of the views, but still treating us to some great scenery – we were just entering foliage season:

We did this hike in October and the leaves were all changing to red, yellow, and orange-browns! It was beautiful! Thanks for recommending Waterville Valley!
