Today was a good day\u2026 but you\u2019ll have to bear with me, this is my first blog\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Why a good day? Because today I learned something. Today I learned about blogging. I\u2019d been wanting to set up my own blog, partly because it\u2019s the way I learn \u2013 set the goal, achieve the goal. In this case, creating a blog for myself. In the words of a long-ago mentor \u201cthe road to smart goes through dumb\u201d, I knew I didn\u2019t know much about blogs \u2013 I\u2019ll admit, I was dumb when it comes to blogging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But, learning by doing, so, I started today not knowing anything about blogging (other than knowing how to spell WordPress, and knowing I could install it from my webhosting service control panel). It\u2019s now 6pm, and my road to smart has taken me through setting up my own blog \u2013 not piggybacking on someone\u2019s site, but installing the wordpress files on my own site, reconfiguring the theme to conform to my site\u2019s style, and posting my first entry. Not bad for a day\u2019s work. Nope, no expert, but it\u2019s a start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
