{"id":17,"date":"2010-09-12T14:58:16","date_gmt":"2010-09-12T19:58:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/peterdittman.com\/weblog\/?p=17"},"modified":"2025-08-06T15:27:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-06T19:27:09","slug":"willey-range","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/peterdittman.com\/weblog\/willey-range\/","title":{"rendered":"Willey Range"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The early weather reports showed clouds on either side of saturday, the day of our hike \u2013 so we were skeptical of the weather, but the day came, and with it, a cloudless sky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We drove to the Highland center the night before, planning on staying the weekend and hiking the Willey range from south to north returning at the end of the day to the center. The WR trail brought us over Mts Willey and Field to the Mt. Tom Spur.  We reached Mt.
