Sedona was our &#8216;civilization&#8217; icing on the Zion\/Bryce cake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On a recommendation from a friend, we&#8217;d booked into the <a href=\"https:\/\/skyranchlodge.com\/\">Sky Ranch Lodge<\/a> &#8211; and OMG, what a beautiful spot. Perched on the western edge of the Airport Mesa, it&#8217;s a beautiful grouping of attached cottages, ours with a kitchenette, a fireplace, a most amazing view of Sedona and the red rocks beyond!<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/peterdittman.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/IMG_1685.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2765\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">View from our private deck at Sky Ranch lodge<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>One of the main attractions of Sedona &#8211; besides the amazing red-rock scenery &#8211; is the many trails, easily accessible.
