This was our first full day in New Zealand \u2013 and while we\u2019d been on the other side of the world for a few days already, our biological clocks were still a bit off. Even so, we wanted to get out on the trail \u2013 and this trek had a starting point which was within walking distance from our AirBnB. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remember, driving in NZ is on the other side of the road – we were still getting the swing of that left-side-of-the-road thing (and yes, their roundabouts are an interesting learning experience), so it really wasn’t something we wanted tackle in our time-zone addled state-of-mind! <\/p>\n\n\n
