It&#8217;s a summit, set apart from others, seemingly not connected by any ridge and only accessible by a bushwhack.  But, it&#8217;s on the list of the New England highest hundred, so we figured we&#8217;d give it a go.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/4000footers.com\/elephant.shtml\">4000footers.com<\/a>, it&#8217;s a short hike, around 2.5mi round trip, and with only a modest elevation gain &#8211; a bit over 1,100 ft.
