{"id":5456,"date":"2026-06-18T06:55:22","date_gmt":"2026-06-18T10:55:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peterdittman.com\/weblog\/?p=5456"},"modified":"2026-09-23T04:41:14","modified_gmt":"2026-09-23T08:41:14","slug":"bar-harbor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/peterdittman.com\/weblog\/bar-harbor\/","title":{"rendered":"Bar Harbor"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As we said goodbye to <a href=\"https:\/\/peterdittman.com\/weblog\/nova-scotia\/\">Nova Scotia<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/peterdittman.com\/weblog\/pei\/\">Prince Edward Island<\/a>, we made our way to the third stop in our Canadian Maritimes road trip: Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park in Maine.  While we&#8217;d visited <a href=\"https:\/\/peterdittman.com\/weblog\/acadia\/\">Acadia NP<\/a> a few years back, at that time, we&#8217;d only scratched the surface, but enough to know there was much more to explore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Departing from Cavendish, PEI we made our way over the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Confederation_Bridge\">Confederation Bridge<\/a> which separates PEI from the mainland.  Unlike our arrival to PEI, we had a beautiful travel day and were able to see just how expansive the bridge really is!
