As we continued to stretch our legs and explore other parts of the country and the world, we wanted to explore a bit of the west coast. With our nephew in San Diego, we thought a visit there, combined with some time in Yosemite might “tick a few of the boxes”.

And tick it did – it turned out to be an amazing adventure, offering a bit of time to explore San Diego and experience the very “SoCal” vibe and the majestic beauty of Yosemite – sprinkled with a bit of San Francisco to sweeten the mix.

One surprise, and the learning benefit of travel, was on the drive from San Diego to Yosemite. On this 400mi drive, we passed through the San Joaquin Valley, one of the many California valleys, experiencing first hand where some of our food originates and magnitude of what it takes to keep us all abundantly fed. An eye opener.

In all, an amazing adventure.
